Do I need a referral from my doctor?
Yes. Intervention for a medical condition (e.g., stroke) by an occupational therapy practitioner requires a referral from a licensed professional such as a primary care physician or neurologist.

Is Freedom in Function, LLC a home health agency?
No. Freedom in Function, LLC is a private practice that offers mobile outpatient occupational therapy services.

Do I have to be considered homebound?
No, because we are considered a mobile outpatient therapy practice, you do not have to be of homebound status. Outpatient Occupational Therapy is covered by Medicare Part B and is distinctly different from Home Health Occupational Therapy, which is covered by Medicare Part A and has different regulations.

What insurance does Freedom in Function accept?
We accept Medicare Part B. We are currently considered "out-of-network" providers for all other insurances, including Medicare Advantage Plans. Clients who are not enrolled in Medicare Part B have the option to pay for services out of pocket. Clients with out-of-network benefits may be eligible for reimbursement. We also accept Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account Cards.

Do you have a physical therapist on staff?
No. At this time, we only have an occupational therapist on staff.
